Shout Out Linky, Giveaway Reminder and Some Random Sauce

1. Stomach bugs are N.O.T. cool. Not. Not. Notty-Not-Not. (That's the chant I have my firsties say when I want them to NOT do something...as in, "Repeat after me...I will not, not, notty-not-not...work ahead." Or whatever. I don't use it often, which is maybe why it's effective for 95% when we do use it? Gotta always have one who still does it anyways. Often the loudest chanter. Sigh.)

2. Going back to work before you're 100% is N.O.T. cool either. Can you say 5:30 p.m. bedtime? For-realzzz.

3. I am LOVING the independence of (the majority of) my firsties right now. Having mini-anxiety attacks when I think about the beginning of the year firsties in Fall.

Hot, super humid school building (no a/c) + Lacking-in-Stamina
= 10 trazillion activities each day
= Super tired teacher...as in noodle tired...every weeknight

4. Shout Out Linky! Katie and I would LOVE for you to join the fun!!!

  4. Boo to stomach bugs!! Yuck! I do love your "notty not not " saying, though... adding that to my bag of tricks next year :) So, no air?? Is this a "we don't EVER have air" or something is broken kind of thing?? I hope you cool off soon... I know it's not a necessity, but I think I might die without A/C! haha

:) Feel better and rest up!

    1. We never have a/c. I swear my blood thins every September. In summer the building sometimes has humidity puddles in the uneven depressions in the floor. One of my colleagues doesn't have a/c at home so she has nowhere to escape to. My husband knows it's an absolute non-negotiable rule to have the air on in the house for ALL of September.

  5. Hello! I teach grade 1/2 split, and I know what you mean about firsties finally getting to that independent stage just before letting them go! Just found out I might have a chance to keep half of mine next year... I wonder how nice it would be to start the year with half of the students ready to go! Of course I'd have to come up with a whole new year of material! Hello TPT!
I stopped by from Doodle Bugs...great blog!
